We collect the following personal data: your name and display name; your email address; payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store your card numbers or bank details); location and voting preferences, including which campaigns you back and which cities you vote for; campaign analytics, including page views, referral sources, and engagement metrics; and creator profile information if you register as a creator (bio, category, social links, profile images).
We use your data to: process escrow payments and refunds via Stripe; manage campaigns, votes, and ticketing; calculate and release staged escrow payouts to creators; generate aggregate analytics about campaign performance and demand patterns; send you notifications about campaign updates, threshold milestones, presale windows, and migration deadlines; verify venue payment details and event completion for escrow release; and comply with legal and audit obligations. Creators see city-level vote counts and revenue totals — never individual fan names or contact details.
We share your payment data with Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor, to handle escrow, refunds, and creator payouts. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share aggregated, anonymized data with analytics providers to improve our service. We may disclose personal data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FanSeater, our users, or others. We do not share your voting choices or contact details with creators.
Campaign data (votes, payments, escrow records) is retained for the duration of the campaign plus a period sufficient for audit, tax, and legal compliance — typically up to 6 years after campaign completion. Creator financial records and escrow disbursement proofs are retained for tax and regulatory compliance. Your account profile data is retained until you choose to delete your account. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations for transaction and audit records.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data: the right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you; the right to correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data; the right to deletion — request that we delete your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations for transaction records); the right to export — receive your personal data in a portable, machine-readable format; the right to object — object to certain processing activities, including direct marketing; and the right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time. To exercise these rights, contact our support team through the app.
We use essential cookies for authentication, session management, and site security — these are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. We use optional analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the platform and to improve our service. You can disable optional cookies in your browser settings without affecting core functionality. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
For privacy questions, data access requests, correction requests, deletion requests, or data export requests, contact our support team through the in-app support channel or the support email listed in your account settings. We aim to respond to all privacy requests within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
FanSeater complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. We process personal data on the following lawful bases: performance of a contract (processing payments and delivering campaign services); compliance with legal obligations (retaining transaction and tax records); legitimate interests (platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement); and consent (optional analytics and marketing communications). We act as a data controller for the personal data we collect. We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK/European Economic Area without appropriate safeguards in place. This privacy policy may be updated from time to time; material changes will be communicated to you via email or in-app notification.
